BEHIND THE LENS
Jesse Mickle was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and raised across South America. Picking up makeshift 'pin hole' cameras with friends as a child and projecting 'movies' for family. He began his career in television commercials working as a cinematographer and visual effects supervisor quickly moving on to direct (as well as DP) films and documentaries and to date has worked on over 260 productions in Asia, South America, and Europe. Nearly all his work entails some form of special or visual effects.
More recently he has revisited work with miniatures, working on large scale productions to bring to life in on screen worlds what would otherwise be rebuilt digitally. He is currently based out of Germany and mainly focuses on productions that push his limits.
